Teleste supplies Essent with 100 Mb/s
Finland's Teleste has received an order to supply Holland based Essent with 100 Mb/s system.
Cable system provider Teleste has received a letter of intent Essent Kabelcom for the deployment of a residential data solution based on the new 100 Mb/s Ethernet for the home technology (EttH). "The experiences of parties in the first technical trial are very promising regarding the increase of the broadband market share and higher ARPU (average revenue per user). Essents Kabelcom plans to start in 2006 with the deployment of 20,000 homes, deliveries are scheduled to start in June," the statement said. According to News Room Finland the value of the deal is approximately more than one million euros.
