Challenger Solutions happy with renovation

The new factory is equipped with seven fully independent Juki pick and place machines ranging from the KE-750 up to the high speed KE-2080 with all new KE-1070 and KE1080 machines replacing previously existing models. Providing the new machines with pasted boards are three brand new DEK Horizon 03iX fully automatic screen printers with Automated Optical Inspection and under screen cleaning. “The new machines and printers are laid out in lines with conveyors for board transport. This allows for a significant improvement in throughput with less manual intervention” says Phil West, Production Manager. “The increase in total capacity and also complexity is great for Challenger Solutions. We can offer our customers greater accuracy and speed on the shop floor, resulting in higher quality, fewer returns and lower costs on theirs” adds Jon Webb, Quality Manager.
