Harting promotes new boss

Dr.-Ing. Frank Schillinger has assumed the position of Vice President Manufacturing, Logistics, Materials Management at German connector specialist Harting Technology Group.

His future scope of responsibility will comprise the worldwide management of all manufacturing locations, including the central department logistics, materials management and procurement. Dr. Frank Schillinger has worked for the Harting Technology Group since April 1, 2002. Up to now he was Managing Director of Harting Electric GmbH & Co. KG, where he was responsible for the production, planning process, purchasing, quality management, personnel and controlling departments. Together with Hans-Peter Bollin, responsible for the production, purchasing, quality management, personnel and controlling departments, he worked on the management team of Harting's largest subsidiary. After graduating from the Technical University of Braunschweig with a degree in precision mechanics, Dr. Schillinger obtained a doctorate in electronic engineering. In 1992, he joined the company TRW Fahrzeugelektrik, a member of the American automotive supplier group TRW, where he held a variety of posts before taking over management of the plant in Radolfzell, Lake Constance, as Director of Operations before his change.
