Pegatron & Foxconn win HP orders
Taiwan-based manufacturers Pegatron and Foxconn has reportedly landed manufacturing orders for traditional notebook PCs from HP.
If correct, they would join Compal Electronics and Quanta Computer on the list of potential manufacturing partners.
Foxconn is said to have won HP's contract order for its G-series traditional notebook PC models, but not for the ultrabooks. Pegatron on the other hand has reportedly won HP's order for high-level notebook and all-in-one (AIO) PCs PC models.
The Envy 4- and 6-series models are currently contract supplied by Compal; the Folio 13-series are manufactured by Quanta Computer.
