Top five NAND Flash brands post 77% revenue surge in Q2
Combined revenue for the top five publicly listed NAND Flash brands rose 77% QoQ in Q2 2026 to USD 68.87 billion, driven by sustained AI server demand for enterprise SSDs and significant contract price increases. Micron posted the strongest growth of the group and moved up to third place, according to TrendForce.
Samsung kept the top position with revenue of nearly USD 23.06 billion, up 70.7% QoQ. Higher NAND Flash average selling prices driven by AI server demand and a growing share of enterprise SSD shipments improved profitability, though Samsung's market share edged down to 29.3% as competitors posted faster growth.
SK Hynix Group – including SK Hynix and Solidigm – ranked second. A continued ramp-up of its 321-layer process and strong orders for Solidigm's high-capacity QLC enterprise SSDs pushed revenue up 89.5% to more than USD 14.27 billion. Operating margin reached a new record high.
Micron posted the highest growth rate among the top five, with NAND Flash revenue up 99.2% QoQ to USD 11.85 billion, lifting the company from fourth to third place.
Kioxia ranked fourth with revenue of approximately USD 10.72 billion, up 79.9%, supported by high NAND Flash prices and continued BiCS8 output growth. Market share edged down to 13.6%. SanDisk rounded out the top five with revenue of nearly USD 8.97 billion, up 50.7% – the slowest growth in the group, constrained by conservative bit shipment growth.

Looking ahead, TrendForce expects smartphone and PC demand to remain weak in Q3 as higher component costs push up device prices. AI server demand for enterprise SSDs remains strong, however, and suppliers are prioritising capital expenditure on DRAM and HBM rather than new NAND capacity. Average selling prices are therefore expected to continue supporting revenue growth in the third quarter, according to a press release from TrendForce.
