Siemens to add 2000

Siemens AG Europe plans to add at least 2,000 jobs within its renewable-energy division.

According to Bloomberg News, Siemens is expanding its business within renewable-energy in order to meet rising demand for clean energy. Siemens has invested hundreds of millions of Euros in wind energy. It plans to employ 2000 people during 2011 bringing up the total head count to 7000 within the division, according to Bloomberg. Siemens renewable-rnergy division recently opened new wind-generator factories in China and the U.S. and will start operations this year in Ontario. Siemens is also opening wind plants in India, Brazil, Russia, and Hull in northeastern England during the next years.
