Foxconn with new facility in China
Taiwan-based EMS-provider Foxconn is to set up a new manufacturing facility in China.
The EMS-provider has already started construction of the manufacturing facility—said to be designed for handset-assembly—will be located at the airport business park in Zhengzhou City (China), Volume production is expected to start in 1Q/2011, reports DigiTimes.
The new facility seems to be a sister facility to the manufacturing facility in the close-by Zhengzhou Export Processing Zone, which is said to have started production about a month ago. While this facility is producing components (supplied to manufacturing in Shenzhen), the new facility is said to assemble handsets too.
