Foxconn to buy Sony’s LCD facility in Mexico

According to Digitimes, Foxconn will also acquire Sony's LCD orders for the North American market. However, Edmund Ding, Foxconn’s spokesperson, told Digitimes that he is not aware of such an investment and that the company would release a statement if otherwise. Currently, Sony is producing full HD LCD TV models at the Mexican facility for the North American market and is outsourcing production of entry-level models to Wistron.
