Foxconn plans new handset acquisition
Hong Kong-based Foxconn International Holding, which is the handset subsidiary of Foxconn Electronics, is likely to carry out a small-scale acquisition.
According to DigiTimes via the Chinese-language Yahoo! Hong Kong website, quoting a report from Reuters, sources say Foxconn is about to announce plans to issue new shares to carry out new investments without revealing details of an acquisition plan. The Foxconn stock has been suspended on the Hong Kong stock exchange. In May, Foxconn bought a 56.5% stake in Taiwanese Chi Mei Communication Systems. Source: www.DigiTimes.com
