Electronics distributors Top10 ranking unchanged
The Top10 ranking of the electronics distributors has been unchanged from 2007. The picture is mixed; both - double-digit increase, but also losses were reported.
Total revenue of the 75 biggest electronics distributors was $28.2 billion - a drop of $700 million, reports purchasing.com. This was mainly due to the fact that component demand decline in unison with the world economy. Only 14 of the Top75 distributors were able to report double-digit growth in sales for 2008, the report continues. However, 18 distributors posted a loss.
