HP to lay off in Ireland
The US-based company Hewlett Packard is to lay off 120 contract workers in its facility in Kildare, Ireland.
Although the layoffs have been confirmed to local media, it was stated that the economic crisis is not the reason - fixed-term contracts had expired and were simply not renewed. HP Manufacturing cooperates with suppliers to contract flexible workers for temporary positions, as the company tries to meet changing demand cycles.
