Quantum gained over €3m<br>from Ireland factory sale

US data storage equipment manufacturer Quantum Corporation gained €325,603 from sale of its facility in Ireland.

Quantum Corporation, closed its operation in Dundalk, Ireland three years ago and transferred the operation to Jabil Circuit in Hungary. 250 jobs were removed. According to the company’s latest interim report, it gained €325,603 on the 6 million US Dollars sale of the building to an unknown party. A further charge of 900,000 US Dollars was recorded in the SEC filing as part of the plan to outsource certain repair services from Ireland to Jabil’s operations in Mexico, SiliconRepublic reported.
