Mediatek to acquire assets relating to power management from Intel

According to a filling with the Taiwanese stock exchange Mediatek says that it expects the transaction to close by 4Q20, however, the actual closing date still depends on the completion of certain legal procedures. The transaction has been approved by the Board of Director of Richtek. In the filling the company says that the purpose behind the acquisition is to expand the overall product portfolio; “To provide enterprise level high frequency, high efficiency power management devices for FPGAs, SoCs, CPUs, and ASICs.”
