Data Respons ASA : Growth and improved profitability

- Data Respons finished the year with good growth and strong improvements in profit margins. The company is more focused on its core business, is a more cost effective organisation and is well positioned in our key markets, says Kenneth Ragnvaldsen, CEO of Data Respons ASA. Operating revenue for the fourth quarter was NOK 230 million (211). EBITDA was NOK 18.8 million (9.7) and EBIT amounted to NOK 17.8 million (8.6). The order intake for the period was NOK 819 million (843). The group's order backlog at the end of the quarter was NOK 626 million (613). Growth in key markets - Over the past years, our main goal has been to focus on the company's key markets. The common denominator for our business is to develop and deliver robust computer solutions that can withstand harsh environmental conditions. We are among the leading specialists in the Nordic region for reliable electronics and embedded computer solutions for use in maritime environments, oil services, telecommunications, or in defence. Growth in the fourth quarter was partly due to winning bigger and more significant customers internationally, especially in Sweden. Expecting a good start to 2014 - The start of 2014 has been positive for Data Respons. Although the market conditions are mixed, the main outlook from most of our global customers is improving going forward. The positive development in the services segment combined with a solid order backlog in the products & solutions segment provides a good basis for a strong start to 2014, concludes Ragnvaldsen.
