Sanmina-SCI’s plant in France close to a closure

EMS provider Sanmina-SCI may close the plant in Tourlaville, France.
Jean-Luc Postel, representative of the CGT Sanmina France of Tourlaville said, "This feels like the end". Today the plant employs approximately 300 workers. The plant produces for telecommunications and military and aerospace.

If Sanmina-SCi is not able to convince the Thalès group to continue working with the Tourlaville plant then the plant has indispensable condition of a survival. The company is also looking for new clients for the plant, usinenouvelle reports. According to the Jean-Luc Postel the representatives of Thalès Avionic, has turn to Sanmina in Thailand. The plant in Thailand manufactures the same products as those is the Tourlaville plant. “This is the finish for our site ", said Jean-Luc Postel.
