Flextronics Indian boss quits

Industry sources are telling that the manager for Flextronics Indian operations, Mr Gururaj, has resigned. When contacted, Gururaj declined to comment on reports of his departure. “I am not talking to the media about it,” he said, when asked to confirm or deny reports on his exit. Queries sent to the company’s Singapore headquarters remained unanswered. The local media also reports that Gururaj’s exit coincides with reports from local sources that the plant in Chennai that Gururaj is responsible for, had run into operational issues, involving irregular production offtake and stagnant operating margins, in the past eight months. The co-location of Flextronics’ suppliers within the park was another unresolved issue facing the company’s management, sources said.
