Analog Dveices axe 150 jobs on Ireland,<br>close one of the operations

US based Analog Devices will cut 150 jobs at its Limerick operation on Ireland.
The company said that it plans to focus on its more advanced products at this location and will phase out and close one of its sections. Analog employs 1,250 people in Raheen Business Park in Limerick

The company said that Limerick continues to play an integral role in company's global operations and the operation there remains its manufacturing flagship, RTE reports.

According to Dennis Dempsey, Vice President of the Limerick unit “The decision is part of a long-term strategic plan to maintain a leadership position".
