Spectris sold to Fluke
Measurement firm Spectris plc has reportedly sold its Ircon in-line instrumentation business to Fluke Electronics Corp.
The transaction is worth 33 million US Dollars on a debt and cash-free basis and subject to a working capital adjustment. Spectris is based in Egham, England, and it is developing precision instrumentation and controls. The firm is a parent company of Fusion UV Systems (Gaithersburg, MD), Malvern Instruments (Malvern, England), PANalytical (Almelo, Netherlands), BTG (Eclepens, Switzerland), HBM (Darmstadt, Germany), Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration Transducers (Nærum Denmark), and Servomex (Crowborough, England).
