Kitron set to expand with new production facility in Poland

Norwegian EMS provider, Kitron, is set to expand once again in Poland. The company is planning a new PLN 65 million (EUR 15 million) production facility in the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone.

Construction is scheduled be completed this year and the electronics manufacturer is set to start production its new facility during the fourth quarter. Kitron plans to gradually expand the operations of the new facility; during phase one, a production plant covering 8’000 square metres will be built and provide new jobs for 200 new employees. Moving forward however, the company wants to increase that workforce to about 400 over the following five years, according to a report from the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone.
