CONTAG in Big investment
CONTAG, a German based printed circuit board manufacturer specialized on prototypes and small production lots, builds a completely new plant in Berlin.
Work on the 7 million Euro investment already began on 1st March 2006.
"The main reason for this investment is the continuous and fast growth during the last years, which has led to some bottlenecks in space", explained Andreas Contag, general manager and one of the owners of the company.
Within a year a building with a workshop of 3,500 square meters will be erected on the 16,700 square meter site. This will allow to quadruple production capacity. The project also creates new jobs, 22 were initially planned, from today's point of view this number might even be doubled. Additionally the company recently invested in a laser plotter Orbotech LP-9008 and a CAM software with several workstations.
