Divorce between Avnet and BFI
BFI Optilas has made a MBO from the distributor giant Avnet.
The management of BFI Optilas found that the two companies were too different as Avnet is a distributor of a wide range of products and BFI is a specialized distributor on niche markets within RF- and microwave components and optronics.
BFI Optilas now wants to become the largest specialized distributor in Europe. Today BFI Optilas ha 30 employees at 14 offices across Europe.
