Pemtron delivers Eagle 8800 3D AOI to Express Manufacturing, Inc.

The specific model chosen is the Pemtron Eagle 8800TXL-HS, which is a stand-alone 3D AOI system, equipped to handle XL board sizes, and is equipped with the Pemtron high speed capability. This Eagle 3D AOI system can inspect at 40.5 cm2/second, according to Pemtron’s Steven T. Wongsonvanee, General Manager – Americas. EMI has previously purchased and installed Pemtron’s 3D SPI technology. “EMI and Pemtron have been working together in test and development, so to us they’re more of a partner rather than just a customer. While we have brought our expertise in 3D SPI and AOI development to the table, they have contributed a very high level of manufacturing process knowledge and engineering. This has helped us find many niche manufacturing defects that dodge the best efforts of other AOI systems to detect,” said Steven T. Wongsonvanee.
