Wago Elwag to expand with Polish cable plant

Polish manufacturer Wago Elwag is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility in Wróblowice, Poland.

The company expects to begin construction of the new facility by years end. Wago Elwag – a subsidiary to German Wago – manufacturers cables and connectors with the use of plastics. With this new investment, Wago Elwag is panning on hiring about 500 new employees at the new facility, the workforce could be increased further, to about 2'000, in the future, according to a report in European Plastics News. The company has acquired a 160'000 square meter site in Wróblowice which will be the base of this new investment. Once construction has been launched, the investment is expected to be completed in two year time, the report continues.
