6.0% growth for world chip market
The industry association ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems forecasts a 6.0% and 5.4% growth for the world and German semiconductor market (respectively) for 2014.
The German chip manufacturers that cater for the Industrial Electronics and Automotive Electronics segments will have a successful year ahead of them. Both segments will be the main growth drivers forecast for 2014. Data Technology - and even Consumer Electronics - also show growth. Telecommunications however continues to stagnate in its development.
