Tyco gets a new distributor

It is a management buyout of electromechanical division of Compstock Electronics that has created a specialist connector distributor for the connector supplier Tyco Electronics. The new specialist connector distributor is based in Basildon and will adopt the name of Flightspares Electronics. The initial workforce will consist of 15 employees. “For many years, Flightspares was the number one distributor for AMP/Tyco in the UK and Ireland and, excluding the catalogue houses, we are still the second most successful distributor for Tyco in the UK and Ireland,” Flightspares Managing Director Paul Green told ElectronicsWeekly.
