Nokia to begin mobile phone production in Vietnam?
Nokia will begin production of mobile phones in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) according to a local news report.
Website Baomoi.com, citing Ms. Phan Cam Ly, Manager for Nokia Communications, has reported that the company began production of the 300 million USD facility as soon as it gained an investment license.
Ly said Nokia will officially announce that the plant on April 23. The plant is located in the Northern Province of Bac Ninh.
Other media have reported that the plant will hire up to 10,000 workers.
