1000 Whirlpool jobs to go in Italy
1'000 of the previously announced job cuts at Whirlpool will happen in Italy.
The facilities in Cassinetta di Biandronno (around 600), Napoli (180); Siena (120) and Trento (50-100) will be most affected, local media reports. The job cuts are part of the previously announced restructuring measures. Trade unions have reportedly organised strike around the Cassinetta di Biandronno plant.
