Compal buys Motorolas European cable modem unit
Taiwanese electronics producer Compal picks up Motorola's European cable modem business.
Motorola has sold its cable modem business in EMEA (Europe, Midle East and Africa) to Taiwan based Compal Electronics. The Motorola unit produces cable modems, set-top boxes and wireless network devices. Motorola began transferring inventory to Compal for the sold business early January 2010.
