Elpida buys Qimonda’s DRAM technology
Elpida Memory has finalized an acquisition of Germany-based bankrupt Qimonda's DRAM technology.
Japan-based Elpedia will acquire Qimondas's graphic DRAM technology, known as GDDR. This was carried out through a licensing deal which also included part of Qimonda's assets for chip design.
