Nortel: enter Ericsson
Ericsson has emerged as a third bidder for Nortel's mobile network division.
The Globe and Mail reports that Ericsson submitted a $730 million bid on Tuesday. This tops the two other bidders in the game - Nokia Siemens Networks placed a bid in June (with $650 million) and MPAM Wireless, affiliate of MatlinPatterson, placed $725 million.
