TSMC with Board shuffle

TSMC’s Board of Directors also approved two major personnel appointments: 1. Appointed Dr. Morris Chang to serve as Chief Executive Officer concurrent with his position as Chairman of the Board, effective June 12, 2009. 2. Appointed Dr. Rick Tsai to serve as President of the New Business Development Organization, reporting directly to the Chairman and CEO, effective June 12, 2009. “TSMC’s Board of Directors highly values Dr. Rick Tsai’s outstanding contributions as CEO in the past few years,” said Dr. Morris Chang. “Looking to the future, TSMC needs to develop long-term growth opportunities and this needs the best qualified manager to take charge.
