Laser sensor with ultra-high range from Brightlaser

Brightlaser, a supplier of laser sensors, offers a range of laser measurement systems for distances from a few metres to tens of kilometres. The LiDAR laser sensor series is suitable for DTOF (Direct Time Of Flight) measurements. This involves measuring the time between sending an optical pulse and the arrival of the reflected light pulse. High-performance VCSELs (vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers) are used when short switching times and a narrow optical spectrum are required. They are therefore ideal for time-off-light (ToF) applications with high pulse power.

The industry has put forward new requirements for the measurement distance and accuracy with lasers. The deviation must be within a certain range, and the measured distance must correspond to the actual conditions in order to carry out the related processes smoothly and not cause irreparable damage.

Brightlaser's laser sensors are characterized by high-quality optical design, advanced opto-magnetic design and high-performance, high-precision timing circuitry. They have a high measurement frequency and a small size. They can be used to scan a two-dimensional range at a 360° angle. The pulsed infrared high-power VCSEL laser is invisible to the human eye and safe. It has a strong anti-interference capability and is suitable for robot navigation and obstacle detection.

With the help of the distance frequency, a robot can create a map quickly and accurately. The bright laser scanning and ranging sensor uses a high-quality VCSEL light source and an algorithm system for this purpose. The range-finding frequency is adjustable and has two options up to 14000 Hz. Due to its cost efficiency and performance, it is an extremely competitive product and is suitable for detecting traffic flows, for robotic applications and as a laser rangefinder sensor.

Applications up to 100 meters include sweeper navigation and obstacle avoidance, environmental scanning and 3D modelling, obstacle detection and safety compliance, local security, robot navigation and vehicle ADAS.

Applications with more than 100m are traffic light control and position detection. The laser sensor is suitable for monitoring electrical cables, dam deformations, slopes, distances, controlling traffic flow and monitoring the position of fabrics.
