Evertiq sets eyes on Berlin for next expo expansion

Evertiq Expo expands its footprint into Germany. We are opening our doors to exhibitors and visitors at our networking event at the Science and Technology Park Berlin Adlershof on February 11, 2021.
"Germany is the biggest and most important economy in Europe and a significant number of our advertising customers are based in Germany. Furthermore, around 20% of all users for our news service are from the D/A/CH region. We are very proud of the growth that we have seen here, a sign of the trust that we have been afforded”, says Irma Björsell, CEO of Evertiq New Media AB. The Science and Technology Park Adlershof is home to several hundred companies, the majority of which have connections to the electronics industry. After the unification of Germany in 1990, the Senate of Berlin decided to establish an integrated scientific and business landscape on the Adlershof site with currently five technology centres operating out of the science park:
  • Photonics/Optics
  • Microsystems/Materials
  • Renewable Energy/Photovoltaics
  • Biotechnology/Environment
  • IT/Media
The centres provide an established infrastructure, their managers are involved in specialist networks, establish contacts, support cooperation and take part in sector events and trade shows. “We believe Berlin to be an upcoming location for the electronics industry over the next few years. Tesla announced a new battery production facility and many suppliers and manufacturers are already in the Berlin/Brandenburg region. When it comes to cross-border cooperation, Poland and its well-established EMS-industry is just a stone’s throw away”, Ms Björsell continues. “Furthermore, a number of incubators – also located in the Science and Technology Park Adlershof are an indicator for a flourishing start-up community and a vibrant future for technology start-ups.” Three start-up centres and ten non-university research organisations are also located within the science park:
  • WISTA Business Incubator
  • A² Accelerator Berlin
  • Gründerhaus for Humboldtians
  • BAM (analytical chemistry, reference materials), BTU (air chemistry), DLR (planetary research, transportation systems, optical sensors), FBH (high-frequency technology), HZB (materials, energy), IKZ (crystal growth), ISAS (analytical sciences), MBI (nonlinear optics, short pulse spectroscopy) and the PTB (photon radiometry)
3D-television, super-effective solar cells, traffic-free motorways, ultra-sharp Mars cameras, the brightest light for mega-microscopes, energy-saving light from light diodes, pure silicon counted to the last atom... these are the kinds of things that 1'700 people research at Adlershof. Contact our Sales Team () and talk to us about exhibiting at this event. The Networking Dinner at the Forum Adlershof - housed inside the former workshop area of Hans Grade, a pioneer of early air travel - will provide opportunities to network with other, like-minded professionals. Visitors to the event will have the chance to talk to potential suppliers, hold discussions with other professionals and listen to inspiring presentations. As a first keynote, we have invited the COGD (Component Obsolescence Group Deutschland) e.V. to talk about obsolescence management. The group aims to minimise the consequences of component unavailability.
