Evertiq & Barncancerfonden

Embracing the Christmas spirit with Barncancerfonden!

Each Christmas holiday season, children all over the world are given the chance to make a wish list. All of them hope that Santa Clause will grant those wishes; provided he has decided they have been good.
But there is a wise saying: “a healthy person wishes are endless, but a sick person wishes for only one thing – health”. It is common for companies in Sweden to give out Christmas presents to their employees and Evertiq is no different in that respect. But a few years ago, we discovered that there were gifts with a much stronger Christmas spirit than ordinary gifts. Gifts that made us feel a deeper a connection to the world around us; the gift of giving and supporting a higher purpose. Therefore, our Christmas gifts to ourselves became the knowledge of having done something good for society. Since then, we have supported German school children in buying Calliope computers, so they can learn programming and new technologies at an early age; we have supported Unicef in their efforts in child vaccination; supported the safekeeping of Africa’s wildlife and helped Indian women to starting their own businesses. This year we decided to make the one wish come true that most (if not all) sick children have. Or at least contribute to making the dream of a cancer free life become a reality: we support Barncancerfonden. The money the Swedish Child Cancer Foundation raises will finance a variety of projects. All for them, however, have one thing in common: make the lives of children with cancer more – well ‘liveable’. Research into possible cures, family support for the small ones that need their parents around with undergoing treatment and as well as special training for nurses and doctors that work with the smallest and youngest of us. Imagine the lives we will possibly help to change by contributing to Barncancerfonden. The magnitude of change we can achieve with each of our small contributions is almost incomprehensible. What we know for sure; every heart working here at Evertiq will spend the holidays, spreading a little more warmth and love. Merry Christmas to you all! The Evertiq team
