LAN Transformer WE-LAN AQ for Industrial Ethernet Interfaces

Würth Elektronik expands LAN product range with compact SMT-ready Ethernet transformer for up to 1000 Base-T applications
The Ethernet transformer (LAN transformer) is the interface between the device and the Ethernet cable. The transformer provides the safety-relevant galvanic isolation between the device and the cable while at the same time matching impedance. However, the component must also transmit data up to 1 Gbit/s broadband without significantly disrupting the transmitted and received data signals. While the trend in the consumer sector is towards Wi-Fi, LAN interfaces are becoming more and more important in industry applications - and the requirements are becoming increasingly stringent. Würth Elektronik offers high-quality LAN transformers and RJ45 connectors for the production of Ethernet interfaces of the highest quality and performance. The new LAN transformers of the WE-LAN AQ series, which can be ordered from Würth Elektronik ex-stock, are cost-effective, robust and reliable components. Due to 100 % automated production, consistent high quality is guaranteed - for particularly high-performance Ethernet communication interfaces whose top quality can also be guaranteed in the production of large quantities. The WE-LAN AQ transformer convinces with exemplary behaviour in terms of crosstalk, insertion loss, return loss, differential and common mode rejection. The compact transformer with a maximum height of only 4.5 mm can also be used for 1000 Base-T. Comparative measurements have shown that the LAN-AQ series of LAN transformers has a low dispersion of the electrical parameters and also has significantly better values than conventional LAN transformers. Our global network of technical support staff is available for any specific questions you may have about Ethernet implementation while also offering general advice on ways to resolve EMC issues.
