TI is now the owner of a 300mm fab in Utah
The previously announced USD 900 million deal has closed and the former Micron 300mm fab in Lehi, Utah is now in the hands of Texas Instruments.
“This acquisition is a strategic move for us as Lehi will start with 65nm and 45nm production for our analog and embedded processing products and be able to go beyond those nodes as needed,” says Kyle Flessner, SVP of technology and manufacturing for TI, in a press release from transaction advisors ATREG, Inc.
