Bus Elektronik, IMI forms alliance

According to the contract BuS Elektronik will make prototypes and handle new product introduction projects in Europe on behalf of IMI. The objective with this alliance is to engage more European OEMs in product design and development, and mass manufacturing of their electronics products, and increase their share of IMI revenues to at least 15% by the end of this year. Europe currently accounts for 11% of the total revenues of the IMI group. Bus Elektronik is a medium-sized electronic manufacturing service provider from Saxony that has established itself successfully on the market, since its foundation in 1991. BuS stands for Bavaria und (and) Saxony, the federal states from where the founders of the enterprise, Dr. Werner J. Maiwald (Bavaria) and Dieter Folkmer (Saxony) come from.
