Samsung: Bye bye to hard disk drive motors?

Reuters writes that Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co Ltd said on the Friday that the company will exit the hard disk drive motor business. The assets will be sold of and Samsung will instead focus on the core businesses. No more details were revealed so the question who the buyer will be still remains. The company is a supplier to sister company Samsung Electronics when it comes to components such as camera modules for smartphones.
