Apple cuts back on iPhone4S orders
Cupertino-based electronic giant Apple has reportedly cut back on its iPhone4S manufacturing orders.
Several Asian media reports suggest that Apple is cutting back on orders, due to weaker demand. This will affect component suppliers as well as its main manufacturing partner Foxconn. Chinese-language Commercial Times is also claiming that manufacturing orders for the iPad are also being reduced - by as much as 10-15%.
This could be an indication of some bigger underlying problem that stems from the global economic situation in general. However, Samsung, Motorola as well as Nokia all have introduced new smartphones, making for a lively competition.
