Counterfeit issues taken seriously at Janco Electronics

To ensure this isn't a concern for their customers the company has signed on as a member of GIDEP (Government Industry Data Exchange Program) and has a counterfeit component mitigation plan. GIDEP is a task force providing data exchange that assists both government and industry officials to prevent, investigate and prosecute Counterfeit Component Activity. Using a centralized data-base of PCM and EOL notices for over 100 manufacturers for both military and commercial products, the GIDEP is able to search the EOL and OBS manufacturer part number both automated and/or manual. On-going training and Supply Chain and Engineering support is provided by GIDEP to ensure that all members are up to date on the latest technology. All Janco Electronics, suppliers must have a controlled documented plan to reduce the risk of providing counterfeit components including supplier evaluation, audit, component traceability and test information.
