Celestica: 70% of revenue from Top 10 customers

EMS-provider Celestica stated that its Top10 customers stood for 70% of its 4Q revenue.
Here, Canada-based Research in Motion contributed around 17% to its overall 2009 revenue. Even more pronounced; Celestica's Top5 customers accounted for 51% of its revenue in 4Q/2009 (overall revenue for the Canadian EMS-provider was $1.66 billion). As Celestica's CEO sees major risks in a concentrated customer base, diversification is the major aim for the EMS-provider in 2010.

Celestica posted a 4Q revenue of $1.66 billion, compared to $1.93 billion it posted in 4Q/2008, reflecting primarily the impacts of weaker end-market demand. GAAP net earnings were $31.1 million, compared to GAAP net loss of $822.2 million (primarily a result of an $850.5 million, write-off for impairment of goodwill), for the same period in 2008
