BP Solar outsource more work to Jabil
Solar panel maker BP Solar will boost its manufacturing deal with US based EMS provider Jabil Circuit, Reuters reported.
EMSBP Solar will outsource more module assembling to Jabil Circuit due to increasing demand in North America and Europe. Jabil is already producing for BP Solar in Poland and this new contract includes expanded manufacturing at Jabil's facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. Production will expand during the second quarter of 2010, according to the Reuters report.
The agreement calls for an initial capacity of 45 MW with the opportunity for expansion as demand increases. Production will begin in the second quarter.
