Freudenberg to fulfil ISO/TS 16949:2002

Freudenberg Mektec is the first polyamide Flex manufacturer to fulfil ISO/TS 16949:2002.
FME implemented the high quality demands at three locations simultaneously and in all areas - a performance that convinced three auditors from DQS GmbH (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen) during the period from 18th to 25th June 2004 at the FME plants in Weinheim, Erkelenz and the Czech town of Ceské Budéjovice.

"The demands of ISO/TS 16949:2002 have been fulfilled in the certification audit, just as the environmental requirements defined in DIN EN ISO 14001 have been in the monitoring audit
without major or minor deviations“, was FME's positive summary of the quality class of the management system that has been introduced.

"As part of our company's strengthened automotive strategy, meeting the requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2002 seemed to us to be clear, appropriate and logically consistent “, explained Albert Knapp, head of Quality Management at FME and responsible for ensuring quality at all FME plants.
