Elon Musk: Tesla is working exclusively with Panasonic
Following reports that Samsung SDI and Tesla were talking about supplying the carmaker's Model 3 with batteries, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to clarify some things.
“Would like to clarify that Tesla is working exclusively with Panasonic for Model 3 cells. News articles claiming otherwise are incorrect.” Elon Musk wrote, adding that: “S and X cells are also Panasonic.”
However, when answering a tweet whether the company might use Samsung for Tesla Energy, he responded with a simple ad short “yes.”
