Market for electronic assemblies on the upswing

The order intake grew sequentially by four percent; compared to 4Q/2014 it increased by 13.4 percent. Orders coming from abroad (from outside Germany) amounted to almost 32 percent, reported the German industry association ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems. Revenues declined sequentially by three percent. However, there were two working days less in 4Q/2015. Revenue per working day continued on the high from the previous quarter. Compared to the same quarter of 2014, figures grew by 9.1 percent. For 2015 as a whole, order intake increased by 2.2 percent YoY, while sales figures increased with 6.6 percent. However, it has to be noted that there are still strong fluctuations in various market segments, such as Automotive, Telecommunication and Solar Technology. The book-to-bill ratio reached a value of 1.04 in December, 2015.
