Sanyo to double capacity in Hungary
Japan based electronics giant Sanyo invests nearly 4 million Euros to double capacity at its solar cell plant near Budapest.
Sanyo plans to increase from 50 MW to 100 MW per year, making it the biggest producer of photovoltaic cells in the world. The plant's current capacity is 240,000 solar cells per year.
Sanyo is counting on increased sales in Spain, Italy, Scandinavia and Germany where most of the cells currently are sold.
