Sony goes halogen free
80% of Sony´s electronics products were delivered with halogen free pcbs.
According to evertiq´s sources electronics conpany Sony where 80 % halogen free in 2004. However according to the same sources the company stepped back to the flame retardants materials in 2005 due to a tougher financial situation.
The same source also told evertiq that the major global automotive manufacturer Mercedes is planning to get rid of the brominated content in their pcbs by 2008.
