Labor costs is a big chunk of the totals

New Venture Research, in the report ”The worldwide OEM Electronics Assembly Market - 2015 Edition”, writes that the labor costs accounts for the biggest chunk of the total costs in electronics manufacturing.

The greatest cost for the electronics assembly market is – hardly surprising – the labor and overhead costs, followed closely by the semiconductor components. After that, more distantly, is the bare boards, connectors and discrete components, followed by the box assembly. The total revenues from all elements accounted for 1.4 trillion dollar 2014. © New Venture Research
