EPR Technopower lines up with Mydata

Dutch EMS-provider EPR Technopower has made a major investment in SMT capabilities by purchasing a complete new production line from Mydata.

The new line includes two pick-and-place machines from Mydata’s latest MY100 range, together with a Mydata MY500 solder paste jet printer. The decision to buy Mydata equipment was strongly influenced by EPR Technopower’s need for a SMT production line that would not only offer reliable and economical operation, but also high throughput and extreme flexibility, a press release reads. A specific requirement was that the company should be able to combine rapid prototyping and regular production on the new line, without compromising either throughput or efficiency. After carefully evaluating the available options, EPR Technopower decided on Mydata equipment. The pick-and-place machines chosen by EPR Technopower are a MY100SXe14, which offers a maximum throughput of 24,000 components per hour and can accommodate up to 176 feeders, and MY100LXe10, with a maximum throughput of 16,000 cph and capacity for up to 112 feeders.
