Celestica shows growth in 2011

Celestica reported $69.2 US million in net income in the fourth quarter. Revenue for 2011 was $7.2 billion, up 11% from the prior year, although revenue for the quarter was US$1.75 billion, down from US$1.88 billion for the same period a year earlier. President and CEO of Celestica, Craig Muhlhuser credited revenue diversification for the growth. “Celestica continued to deliver strong operating results in the fourth quarter, despite the volatility in customer demand,” said Muhlhauser. “With a continued focus on operational effectiveness and revenue diversification, Celestica delivered solid revenue and earnings growth and strong return on invested capital in 2011, finishing the year with the best net cash position among our major North American competitors.” © Celestica
